The Creating Active Schools (CAS) professional development programme supports schools to create happy and healthy environments through physical activity. Using behavioural science, CAS helps schools to create impactful and sustainable change for physical activity. Underpinned by world-leading research CAS supports schools to build on their strengths while identifying areas of improvement that can be improved step-by-step.

What are we striving towards? To create a whole systems approach to physical activity in school, by following a top down model with the school's vision and mission at its heart. To encourage behaviour change to allow an increase in opportunities for children to be active in school . To identify strengths and challenges, building on assets and using whole school priorities as a driver for improvement in activity. To align physical activity to other areas of work eg. attainment, behaviour and well being.
